To implement and evaluate curriculum, in addition to participation in development of standards for admission, progression, probation, and dismissal of students and to participate in academic guidance and counseling. To provide instruction and supervision in the clinical, skills lab, and simulation areas.
Essential Duties :
Teaches didactic courses and assists in clinical supervision implementing all duties required of each. Develop and maintain curriculum for classes taught. Create course documents, lesson plans and student handouts as required. Assists the program director in development, revision, and implementation of program policy. Promote high standards of excellence in assigned courses. 1. Attends continuing education seminars for professional development. 2. Conducts student conferences and maintains conference records. 3. Assists in the development and administration of annual program budget. 4. Serves on college committees when elected or appointed. 5. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
RN actively employed in nursing for the past three years. Three years of varied nursing experience since graduation. Ability to teach both didactic and clinical education courses using various modalities.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with other employees, students, and others as required. Knowledge of the vocational nursing curriculum and instructional methodology and techniques. Knowledge of Microsoft office.
